Instant Maintenance Services is a multi-trade building contractor based in London, delivering refurbishment, compliance and planned works across Greater London and the South East.

We have repositioned around the work our clients ask for most: refurbishment, compliance and planned programmes, with reactive maintenance as the day to day support underneath it.
A core team of engineers and estimators manages every job end to end, from first survey through pricing, delivery and handover. For specialist trades we work alongside a network of vetted specialist subcontractors, coordinated by us rather than passed to the client to manage.
Our engineers bring over twenty years of hands-on trade experience between them. That combination of an established trade background and a young, focused contracting business is what lets us take on full refurbishment programmes while still answering the phone on a same-day repair.

How we work
Engineers and estimators are directly employed, so the people who price the work are the people accountable for delivering it. Specialist trades are brought in from a network of vetted subcontractors we have worked with repeatedly, under our own supervision and reporting.
Every client has a named account manager alongside our bookings desk. Instructions, updates and escalations go to one place rather than being spread across individual engineers, which matters when you are managing a portfolio rather than a single property.
Our estimating team prepares detailed quotations and tender submissions in house, including scope, programme and cost breakdowns to the standard surveyors and architects expect on design-led projects.
Compliance work is issued with the documentation you need to satisfy landlords, freeholders and regulators, including photographic reporting on inspections and remedial works.
Accreditations
Every trade we deliver is carried out under the relevant industry scheme. Gas work is Gas Safe registered, electrical work is NICEIC or NAPIT registered, fire alarm work is BAFE registered and fire stopping is third party certificated. Registration is verified against the specific works and confirmed in date before anyone attends site, and the certification issued at completion goes straight into your compliance file. Alongside that, Instant Maintenance Services carries full public and employer's liability insurance at £10m.
Fire safety is where scheme registration matters most, so we hold the line on it. Fire stopping and passive fire protection is delivered by third party certificated installers, fire alarm work by BAFE registered contractors, and fire risk assessments by assessors listed on a recognised national register. Nothing on a fire safety instruction is delivered outside a recognised scheme.
